Phonac Hearing Aids

My Phonak Hearing Aids

In short, they are wonderful.

So why are they so special?

I can hear better now than I have for forty years. I can even hear the highest notes played on a violin — and this has opened up a whole new passion for me. I’ve discovered new music, new composers, and a host of brilliant soloists.

My Favourite Violinists

Alena Baeva, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Elena Urioste, Hilary Hahn, Itzhak Perlman, Kyung-Wha Chung, Leia Zhu, María Dueñas, Max Richter, Midori, Nikolaj Znaider, Nicola Benedetti, Tianwa Yang, Vadim Repin, Vanessa-Mae, and Viktoria Mullova.

Composers Whose Works I Love

Mendelssohn, Bruch, Brahms, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi, Paganini, Kreisler, Sarasate, Saint-Saëns, Prokofiev, Bach, Beethoven, and Scott Joplin.

Pianists and Other Artists

Alice Sara Ott, Chilly Gonzales, Daniil Trifonov, Gary Graffman, Hélène Grimaud, Lang Lang, Maurizio Pollini, Yuja Wang, and Yundi Wang.

Features I Love

  • Independent volume control – I can set the volume separately for each ear.
  • Special listening modes – There are settings for the theatre, cinema, or concert hall.
  • TV and media connection – They link directly to my television or DVD player for music, films, or TV.
  • Noise reduction – Perhaps the most useful feature is the ability to blank out unwanted background noise, such as in a restaurant, bar, or noisy meeting.

Smartphone Integration

For me, the single most important feature is the direct link to my smartphone. I can stream my entire music library, take phone calls, and even use the “Select to Speak” option to have my emails, texts, newspapers, and documents read aloud.

The combination of sound quality and integration with my Pixel phone has truly changed my life.
